During my recent stay at European, I was impressed by the convenient location just a few blocks from Market Street. It made exploring San Francisco incredibly easy, whether by foot or utilizing the nearby transit options. Additionally, the affordability of this hostel allowed me to visit my hometown while staying within my budget.

There are so much young people from all around the world that you have really great time there!

I appreciated the clean room, bug-free bed, and the fact that they provided sheets and blankets. The hardwood floors were a nice touch, and the room didn't have any unpleasant odors. The location was great, right in the middle of the city and close to public transportation. The front desk staff was friendly, and I was able to check in until midnight. For a budget traveler, this place had all the facilities I needed.

The atmosphere was good. Nice central location (although this does imply that there are a lot of homeless people wandering the streets around the hostel).

The combined showers/toilet are very inconvenient. During the morning, when everybody is taking showers, it can be a long wait before you can use a toilet.

We booked a twin bed room,but just got banker bed,it was freezing cold and just one of three restrooms was open...it was not a good choice to stay,especially compared to other hostels where I stayed!

The employees were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. The location was convenient, situated in a bustling area. Despite some small room sizes, the price was reasonable compared to other options. Adequate street parking was available during limited hours.

european exceeded my expectations with its ease of check-in, friendly staff, and affordable price. i enjoyed meeting new people and the convenient location. it was a great stay for a quiet weekend in SF.

hotel staff was shotty. they were never in the office when they said they were going to be. because of this checking in/out was prolonged and sheets never got picked up. if you need to talk to someone in the office be prepared to wait around a while before you do..

The facilities were dirty and poorly maintained. The bathrooms lacked privacy and were unsanitary.

There were dead bugs inside my pillow case, and the rooms had an overwhelming smell of cat urine. The door guy offered no help with all of my luggage up 4 flights of stairs, and overall cleanliness was disgusting.
